Stand Up Startup!

Join comedian and professor Ethan Moore as he teaches this 4 week workshop where students will hone their writing skills, work their funny bone and perform in front of a live audience. By the end of the course you will be writing your own comedy, performing at local open mics, and maybe even producing your own show.
 
Learn the craft of telling jokes from idea, to the writer’s table, to the stage. Ethan will lead the workshop, with the aid of local comedy heroes to network and share their knowledge after every class.
 
At the end of the 4 weeks, students will be showcasing their talent in a graduation show, side by side with the local comedians who helped them - and take home video footage of their set.
 
Registration is $175 per student, classes are every Thursday in April at 7 PM. Once you purchase the course, you will get a link to download our form- and we'll send you a confirmation email with all the details.

Ethan Moore is a nationally-touring standup comedian and radio broadcaster. He is the  co-founder of the Butch and Femme Comedy Tour, a comedy-and-drag queen extravaganza that tours across the U.S. (And, amazingly, he’s straight!)  When he’s not on tour, he co-hosts a weekly podcast/radio show on WSQF in Miami, and you can frequently find him performing at the Palm Beach Improv.  Fun fact: Ethan spends his summers teaching philosophy in China! (Really!) 
Aside from writing and performing comedy, his passions include helping addicts in recovery, playing Euro-style board games, and doing really really hot yoga.
